This slide by Barbara Murray was selected by the judges as the winning slide for the Vee Nealey Memorial Slide of the Year Trophy.

Taken in January 2004, it depicts the weathered West side of a building in the town of Farmington, Washington.

The soft tones of the tree trunks blend magnificently with the weathered wood of the building and the door. Snow on the roof and the ground gives a chill to this setting which is clearly past its prime. Thus the title,

"Past Prime."
