IT GIVES MY PAWS PAUSE

I find it hard to appreciate the humans' music --
The string section produces such caterwauling sounds,

It makes one wonder where there's a kitty in heat --
Mournful pieces such as these belong in animal shelter pounds,

Violin bows, I have heard, are the hair of pet horses,
Rosin? -- prehistoric pitch from an earlier day,

I have but one question about origins, really --
For the strings of their squawk boxes they use catgut, don't they?
