The Murray Co. was founded by Will Murray in the 1980s as a wholesale dealer in college textbooks. In 1991 Will opened Murray's Bookstore and Software, a retail store in Spokane, Washington, selling both new and used books. The store later moved to 1415 W. Third Avenue, occupying two floors of an historic building stocked with books and software. In 1994 the Art Gallery was opened dealing in marble and bronze statuary. Today the business has relocated to W. 1004 W. 23rd and is predominantly an Internet Business. Spokane is in Eastern Washington State, US, approximately 20 miles West of the Idaho border, and 100 miles South of the Canadian border.
